Multimedia Websites and Online Marketing

For years now, Search Engine Marketing experts have been trying to solve one of the mysteries surrounding SEO and flash web page optimisation. They have tried to create work-arounds, such as, slice up parts of flash movie and placing it on different pages whilst adding text to each of these pages. Another classic being to create a html version to run alongside a flash movie, which creates 2 sites, which represents twice the cost. But there hasn’t really been anything significant on the market to address this. Adobe has tried to make flash more searchable in recent years as it has realised the need for presence on the web. More and more companies in the entertainment industries have realised that people are searching more than ever and have been crying out for a solution to this issue.

For Internet Marketers around the world, this problem may at last be solved. New video and graphics capabilities mean that open source formats have greater potential for SEO’s, who are continually working to get sites higher up in the SERPs. Developers now have the flexibility to change almost whatever aspects of the video they like. A video on a website is able to contain links and other interactive components that the developer chooses to include. A video can now contain web content, which has never before been realised, until now. For Search Engine Optimisation companies, this signifies unlimited possibilities when marketing a fully interactive site. Video content can be potentially added, updated, and syndicated on a regular basis, which is just what Google would like to see.

But why hasn’t Flash been able to tackle this? In the past, the then Macromedia was developing the popular tool. And until now, flash hasn’t been able to cope with searchability and interactivity from a searchers point of view. But, if you have website that is developed in flash, and you want it to appear at the top of Google for certain terms, it may now be possible using open source video format combined with strategic Internet Marketing techniques.
